Types of Crystals

1389925054-93.jpg

Crystals are defined as solid minerals, in which component ions, atoms, and molecules are arranged in a regular structure. It is this orderly arrangement of the constituent particles that gives all types of crystals a straight edge and flat surface. Examples of common crystals include salt, sugar, snowflakes, gemstones, rubies and diamonds. Each of the crystal types possess a specific shape and different properties, based on which they are classified.

There are seven crystal systems or groups, each of which have a distinct atomic lattice. The atomic lattice is a three-dimensional network of atoms that are arranged in a symmetrical pattern. The shape of the lattice determines not only which crystal system the stone belongs to, but all of its physical properties and appearance. In some crystal healing practices, the axial symmetry of a crystal is believed to directly influence its metaphysical properties.

Crystal healing is a phenomenon wherein the properties of crystals and stones are used to manipulate our thoughts and emotions, so as to help manage anger, stress, depression, disease symptoms, and other negative energies in the body. With the increased popularity of crystal healing, rigorous studies have been done on crystals and their meanings.

Crystal Healing Alternative – Chakra Therapy

Many people use crystal as an alternative therapy… and you may have also heard people talking about crystal healing before but are not really sure what they are talking about.

Crystal Healing is an alternative therapy which is used along side with traditional methods of healing the human body as well as the mind and soul. An healer use different Crystals and Minerals when pro-forming a healing session on a person. Each stone they use has very different healing properties and healer will pick the right stone they need for the job at hand.

Crystals are used to balance, re-energise and cleans a person’s field of energy and are often placed on an person’s chakras to help with the healing process.

The Willingness To Heal

I have counseled individuals, couples, families and business partners for the past 35 years and authored eight published books. All this experience has resulted in the development of a profound healing process, called Inner Bonding, which anyone can learn and use throughout the day (free course available – see resource box at the end of the article). The first step of this process is willingness.

We cannot begin a journey without our willingness to do so. Without our willingness to do whatever it takes to heal, we will not begin the journey of healing and evolving our soul. Doing whatever it takes means that we are ready and willing to feel, learn about and take full responsibility for our own feelings – our own pain, fear, anger, hurt, aloneness, loneliness, disappointment, depression, sense of safety, worth, lovability and joy. Willingness means that we are ready to become aware of creating our own feelings with our thoughts, beliefs and actions. It means we are willing to face whatever it is we fear in order to heal the beliefs causing the fear.

Willingness means that we choose to be courageous and face our demons – the shadow side of ourselves about which we do not want anyone to know. It means that we are ready to move out of denial about the pain we are in, ready to stop hiding from ourselves. Willingness means that we are ready to become aware of how much we want control over our pain, over others, and over the outcome of things. Until we are ready to see, without judgment, how deeply we want to control everything, and all the overt and subtle ways we try to have control, we cannot choose to open.

Willingness means that we are ready to ask for help from a spiritual source of strength, and from others who can bring us love to help us heal. It means that we are ready to acknowledge that we cannot find our safety without spiritual guidance – that we are ready to invite Spirit into our heart to nurture and guide us. It means that we have embraced the journey, the sacred privilege of learning about love upon this planet.

We cannot move into the next step of the Inner Bonding process, the intent to learn about what we are thinking or doing to cause our pain until we are willing to move out of denial regarding our inner distress. As long as we are in denial about our pain, we will not recognize that we have inner pain and may not be motivated to learn about it. Our denial is one of the ways we are protecting against pain. We may not be willing to move out of denial until loving ourselves and others is more important than avoiding our pain.

Willingness means that you pay attention to the physical sensations within your body. You cannot know if you are believing or behaving in ways that are hurting you if you are unwilling to feel what is going on within your body. Feelings of pain, anger, anxiety, hurt, fear, and loneliness are physical sensations that occur within the body. When you numb your body with substances or shut out your inner experience with manipulations and activities, you cannot know what you are feeling.

We put ourselves on a new path toward our own wholeness when we become willing to feel our pain and learn from it.

Crystal Energy

Crystal energy can be used to increase the energies that help healing the body and mind. Unbalances in the body’s energy field can be caused by the mind focusing on negative aspects. Crystal energy helps change negative energies and replaces them with positive energies.

Crystal energy affects your body by balancing your body’s energy. I will not be touching here on the use of crystals healing by means of a healer; however, I will focus on the use of crystal energy and the theory behind healing crystals and gemstones.

The theory behind crystal energy is to do with the Quantum theory. The Quantum theory considers the Universe and all things that make it, as existing in an empty space with forms of energy moving within each space. Of course this includes our physical body which is a space with energy flowing infinitely through its own space. Your body’s energy is used when you breath and when you show emotions and thoughts.

The healing processes of crystals and gemstones are considered a special flow of energy that change the way the destructive energy flows. This special flow of energy can be helped by the use of healing crystals and gemstones to improve and speed up the healing processes. Crystals and gemstones can be used as a tool to give the healing flow of energy an important boost in adding power to achieve cures.

Crystal energy and crystals are a tool that can enhance not just your health, but anything you undertake. Although crystals and gemstones occupy a different space than our body and mind, within the Universe there occur an interaction between your body and mind and the energy forms. This interaction is executed through shared properties resulting from the energy flow.

For example, the electromagnetic properties of a Quartz crystal share the same type of electromagnetic properties of the body, thus somehow the crystal’s electromagnetic energy flows can positively interact with the same electromagnetic energy flow of the human body.

The quantum theory helps to explain the effect of crystals in our psychological and biological life. Even disregarding the Quantum theory, the use of healing crystals and gemstones has been a beneficial practice used by people throughout centuries. This practice is very beneficial for the healing processes.

Crystals and their colors correspond to chakra points in your body. These have been found to have cleansing and energizing properties that interact with the body causing them to work on problem areas. Appling the energy of the crystals and gemstones to the body enhances the cleansing and energizing effect to the body.

Below is a list of the chakras and most popular crystals used in healing.

Root Chakra: Jasper (bloodstone), garnet, onyx and rubies.

Second Chakra: Hematite and moonstone.

Third Chakra: Citrine, amber and topaz.

Fourth Chakra: Rose quartz and Chinese Fluorite.

Fifth Chakra: Aquamarine and turquoise.

Six Chakra: Sapphire, turquoise and amethyst.

Seventh Chakra: Clear quartz and amethyst.

Reiki Massage Therapy

We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; but spiritual beings having a human experience.” – Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

Similar techniques of reiki have been tried and tested, but the true practice of this was made universal in the year 1922 and was developed by Mikao Usui, who when on a Buddhist training course held on Mount Kurama, performed what is called ‘isyu guo‘. It is a 21 day training and involves chanting, meditation, prayer and of course fasting.

He was able to use his body as a medium, specifically his crown chakra, to use the power of his mind both intellectually and spiritually to influence those around him. He coined this ability as reiki, and made it known in April 1922 where he instituted a society called Usui Reiki Ryōhō Gakkai, that translates into ‘Usui’s Spiritual Energy Therapy Method Society’.

Starting this society gave him a larger audience to channel his work through, using the reiki method to heal the masses. It is a slightly complex teaching that can only be passed down from a reiki practitioner to an apprentice, where practitioners can somehow pull in a force from the universe, saturate that energy and then use it for patients to alter their state of health and living.

It is a way of removing bad energy vibes from within a person, whilst replacing it with what is good, in order to help one heal over a period of time. A reiki massage (although not literally a hands-on massage) therapy involves pretty much the same concept, with many benefits that patients and people who want to try this method, receive.

Why Should One Seek Reiki Massage Therapy?

The purpose and results of reiki are plentiful, with practitioners passing along the message that the following can be changed or cured over a stipulated amount of time, although gradual. When it comes to reiki healing touch methods, the following conditions and problems can be solved with therapy.

  • Healing injuries
  • Soothes muscle aches and pains
  • Brings about balance in the body’s energies
  • Toxins are cleared from the body
  • Helps relieve stress and tension
  • Helps in the natural method of self-healing
  • Alleviates pain in the body
  • Can help treat lock jaws
  • Can treat other illnesses that the body is suffering from
  • Can increase one’s awareness
  • Can help relax one in mind and body
  • Keeps the body’s organs balanced
  • Can strengthen the immune system
  • Holistic healing
  • Encourages positive thinking
  • Boosts one’s creativity
  • Helps diffuse pent-up emotions and feelings
  • Meditative abilities are heightened

How is a Reiki Massage Performed?

When a reiki master starts off with a session, it involves first holding out one’s hands over the receiver’s body, and in some cases being in contact with the body, in order to send forth what will act upon them during the healing process.

I remember when one of these reiki masters, or an apprentice for the same, tried this out on my mom, and it involved the same process of course. The thing is that reiki probably needs one to be subjected to its effects over a period of time, and not over a short span to have to bare witness to results. In some reiki therapies, the placement of one’s hands differ, in that, it is either placed on certain points of the body to start with the healing treatment, or involves one’s hands hovering above the body and finding that perfect spot to have his/her hands concentrate their effects on.

This way one finds the area that is responsible for causing the imbalance, making the practitioner locate it, using his/her intuition. When the healing therapy begins, some people feel certain sensations that come through during the treatment. Some describe it as feelings of comfort, or extreme warmth. Some feel energy waves that radiate from the practitioner him/herself. It’s been used for many years as a way of channeling one’s inner energies to another and making it shift what is unbalanced in the other.

Reiki can be used once it is mastered, on not just people but on plants and animals as well. Once a person is trained to be a reiki master-teacher, he/she can use his means to treat anyone and anything during his/her time. People can take special classes to help themselves use their energies in a way that can help others who don’t strike a balance with their own. It all starts off with understanding the seven vital chakras of the body, and working one’s way through each to find out how to deal with each point’s complexities. A reiki master can impart his healing not just in person, but over distances as well; here’s how.

Distance Healing

Communicating from afar with the person that sits in another place, the practitioner tells him/her to sit in an environment that embodies peace and tranquility either in their home, or someplace outdoors. He/she then transfers their healing energies to them.

Contact Healing

One is asked to lie down, where a reiki massage is then performed, wherein there is no bodily contact, and the person is fully clothed. The surrounding area is turned into one of relaxation, using candles and calming music, making those who come for the massage, relax while giving way for the energy to shift and alter, thus changing it for his/her own good. The practitioner then gently places his/her hands on different points of the body, to help transfer their healing energies.

A reiki session would do people good, if they come with an open mind and the will to want to heal and get better. It doesn’t have to be used only for the sick, but for those who led chaotic and unhealthy lives, seeking peace and oneness among all things. Those considering this should go to known and trusted reiki practitioners. It is a painless method and all are invited to come and cleanse themselves from disturbing outside elements.

Holistic Healing Guides Your Natural Healing to a Better You

Toledo, OH (PRWEB) February 5, 2011

2011 will be remembered as the year that holistic therapy incorporated healing and health into a new approach that is changing the lives of Americans, and world over, in far-reaching ways. Nicole Lanning, founder of Healing Art Forms and Holistic Healing Minute, uses her unique abilities to connect with her guides, perform readings and offer customized healings. She is also a renowned public speaker with a distinctive approach to holistic and spiritual cleansings, health and therapy.

“During seminar travels throughout the United States”, said Lanning, “I noticed a reoccurring problem of clients dealing with travel concerns. I was continually asked if I would be coming to a certain city near his/her hometown. The demand for holistic learning is there, but it needed to be in a more convenient format for everyone to have access to. I was inspired to create a way to reach anyone who wanted to learn and have this at his/her fingertips with the click of a mouse, and Holistic Healing Minute was born.” Through her travels Nicole Lanning had found a way to reach a broader audience with her message of healing, cleansing and spiritual enlightenment. Holistic Healing is about changing your life from the inside out. Nicole Lanning provides you with the tools, techniques, and guidance to guarantee a successful transformation of mind, body and spirit. Holistic Healing is personal empowerment at its root level.

Lanning’s message is that you can heal your life, in all areas, through easy to use step by step holistic healing techniques and approaches. Holistic healing works with the mind, body and spirit to resolve issues in life and ensure a more meaningful existence. Living a more significant life prevents issues from resurfacing in the future. Nicole Lanning helps you to reclaim your life and live it to the fullest.

The launch of Nicole Lanning’s new website, HolsiticHealingMinute.com, is distinctive in its approach to holistic healing and spiritual therapy. “Our uniqueness resides in the fact that you have my experience, know-how, and year’s worth of training right at your fingertips,” said Lanning. “I have been there and back, healing my own life on all levels – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual – and can teach anyone how to do this in his/her life for any issue. There are many books, seminars, and online programs out there, but our program combines them all in a video format with downloaded files to enhance your learning, just as if you sitting in the audience of one of my seminars.” In essence the visitor receives daily videos, which begin at the core of the healing process, and are rich with exercises, lessons and additional information in audio, files and text. Lanning wants everyone to heal and does not believe that your access to a holistic healer should be limited to a seminar or book.

Reflexology – The Holistic Approach to Your Healing

Reflexology is an old treatment method that goes back almost 5000 years when certain types of pressure therapy were practiced in Egypt, India, China and Japan. An Egyptian wall painting was found in a tomb of a physician at Saqqara that shows patients being treated on their feet and hands. This method of pressure therapy concerns the study of certain reflexes in the feet that correspond to different areas in the body.

Reflexology today is practiced because it was found that pressure and reflex stimulation relieved pain and stress. Practitioners have found that by using the pressure from fingers and thumbs on certain areas of the feet and hands, therapeutic results were achieved in the corresponding organs of the body. That is why reflexology is based on a notion that certain reflexes in the hands and feet of the human body correspond to organs, glands, and other parts of the body.

The aim of this holistic approach is to relieve stress and muscular tension, to encourage the natural healing process of the body, to improve the blood circulation and supply, to encourage the balance, equilibrium and homeostasis of the body, to unblock nerve and energy paths in the body, to cleanse and flush out deadly toxins from the body, to revitalize the body, and to stimulate productivity.

Reflexology is also known as “zone therapy” that surmises that the parts of the body are represented on the feet and hands and putting pressure on certain areas of the feet and hands will stimulate the flow of blood, energy and nutrients to the corresponding zones in the body resulting in stress relief and pain relief in those zones.

Reflexologists claim that most of the problems and conditions that pertain to health are due to stress and tension. Reflexology is not designed to diagnose or treat a person for any particular medical problem or disorder. It is done to promote good health and is like an exercise or even a diet program. The practice of reflexology should help to release stress.

A reflexologist works on the reflex areas on the hands and feet which triggers the release of tension in the corresponding body zone and has an overall balancing/calming effect on the organs and glands. Reflexology should not be a painful experience and the practitioner should have experience and be well trained in the art of massaging the feet and hands. Today people seek the help of reflexology therapy to help them with the following conditions:

  • Digestive disorders
  • Insomnia
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Arthritis
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Injuries caused by sports
  • Back pain

An alternative therapy, reflexology is becoming as popular as acupuncture and Indian head massages. This is because people have found that it promotes complete relaxation, reduces pain, soothes the feet and even encourages healing. Because it is also known for being used in palliative or post-operative care, cancer patients tend to use reflexology as an alternative or complementary therapy. However, reflexology cannot replace any sort of medical treatment. This is because there is no scientific basis or proof of its medicinal value.

Reflexology is a holistic and natural treatment/therapy which activates and supports the human body’s healing processes and mechanisms in a natural way. It is non-invasive and has developed into a well accepted and recognized complementary therapy.

What Does Chakra Healing Mean?

A chakra is an alignment point of the body and it can receive and relay the life force energy. The word Chakra comes from the Sanskrit, it describes the continual spinning of a wheel or the aural energy sphere within the body of mankind.

http://www.scribd.com/doc/129476437/Area-51

Traditional Hindu writings have often said that there are nearly 90,000 points of Chakra throughout every human body, but there are truly only seven extrmely important points of Chakra.
